MY STORY
How a late-night hobby became a creative business
Some people find their calling. Mine found me at 11pm on a Tuesday, somewhere between a brush pen and a blank page.
It started in 2020 — not as a business plan, but as a creative outlet. I took an online brush lettering class to decompress after work, not expecting much. Then came pointed pen calligraphy. Then late nights practicing when everyone else was asleep. Then a friend asked me to letter a mirror sign for a dinner event he was catering — and someone paid me for the first time to do something I would have done for free. That was it.
I've built White Lotus Lettering into a personalization studio rooted in three disciplines I've spent years mastering: calligraphy, hand engraving, and hot foiling. I work with luxury brands, experiential agencies, and wedding planners who need someone they can hand a vision to and trust completely — someone who shows up, executes at the highest level, and makes the moment feel like it was always supposed to look that way. Based in Modesto, CA and available across the Bay Area, Napa, Sonoma, and Northern California.

About the name
White Lotus comes from Avatar: The Last Airbender, a show I love. Lettering stays in the name because it's where everything started, the first art form I truly fell in love with.
A lotus commands attention without trying. It just has it. Every petal opens deliberately, nothing rushed, nothing accidental, every detail exactly where it should be. That's what personalization looks like when it's done right. That's the only way I know how to work.

I rewatch Avatar: The Last Airbender regularly, and I will not apologize for it.
A beach? Absolutely. A cruise in the deep sea? Absolutely not.
I garden for fun. Getting my hands in the soil is my version of a reset.
I'm a foodie, and I give the best restaurant recommendations you've ever gotten. Ask me.
Tokyo, Japan is my favorite travel destination. Amazing food and even better stationery.
I have a degree in Communication Studies. I fully utilize it (surprisingly).
